HYPOXiX Broadway | Week 1: Learning the Foundation
Welcome!Welcome to Week 1 of HYPOXiX Broadway. What if your dance workout could train your breath, body, brain, and nervous system at the same time? HYPOXiX Broadway combines dance-inspired cardio with the HYPOXiX Breathing Method to help performers develop greater breath control, endurance, coordination, posture, and stage-ready conditioning. Inspired by the demands of Broadway performance, this class teaches you how to move with precision while maintaining control of your breathing under physical stress. Created by former Broadway performer AJ Fisher, HYPOXiX Broadway was designed for anyone who wants to improve the connection between breathing and movement. Whether you’re a professional singer, dancer, actor, fitness enthusiast, or simply someone who loves dance-based cardio, this class offers a unique way to build endurance while learning to control your breath under load. Week 1 is all about learning the foundation. Rather than focusing on intensity, you’ll begin by developing awareness of your breath while performing simple Broadway-inspired dance combinations. The goal is to establish the breathing skills that will support you throughout the entire 8-week program. In this week’s class you’ll learn how to: Move on the exhale Recover on the inhale Maintain posture while dancing Use the core to support breathing Stay relaxed while moving continuously Coordinate breath with rhythm and movement As the program progresses, the breathing challenges will become increasingly advanced. Week 1 establishes the skills needed to confidently progress through longer exhalations, greater breath control, increased cardiovascular demands, and more complex choreography in future weeks. Perfect for: Broadway performers Musical theater students Singers and vocalists Dancers of all levels Dance cardio enthusiasts Fitness professionals Anyone looking for a fun, music-driven workout At HYPOXiX, your breath becomes part of the choreography. Learn how to move to the end of your breath, strengthen your core with every exhale, and develop the endurance to perform with greater confidence and control. Train your body. Train your breath. Move with purpose. This video is a short highlight from a longer HYPOXiX Broadway class. #HYPOXiX #Broadway #DanceCardio #BroadwayWorkout #BreathControl #DanceFitness #SingerTraining #MusicalTheatre #PerformingArts #CardioWorkout #Breathwork #CoreTraining #MovementTraining #MindBodyFitness #DanceConditioning
