On this short hike in the Valle Maggia, I visit the town of Maggia and take a circular trail to the old chapel and the impressive waterfall. The Valle Maggia, or Maggiatal in German, is a valley in the Swiss canton of Ticino. The Maggia River winds through the valley, and a magnificent landscape invites you to hike and linger. The valley lies between Locarno on Lake Maggiore and Ascona.
