Служба супроводу "Азов": Як поранених героїв повертають до життя . Ірина «Хой» Гой
What happens to soldiers after they are wounded? Who helps them make the journey from evacuation from the battlefield to return to service or civilian life? In this special issue, we talk to those behind this process. Our guest is Iryna "Khoy" Hoy, head of the medical department of the Support Service of the Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. She talks about how this unique support system works, what challenges they face every day, and why its existence is both a lifeline and a symptom of a major systemic problem. In the conversation, you will learn: • How the Support Service is organized internally and how it interacts with state institutions. • What are the first needs of soldiers released from captivity (and this is not what you might think). • Why dental care is one of the biggest unsolved problems for veterans. • What systemic changes have already been implemented (targeted evacuation, blood transfusions at zero). • The most difficult and inspiring moments in this work. This is a conversation not only about medicine, but also about humanity, responsibility and the systemic struggle for the quality of life of those who defend our country. 00:00 - Introduction.
