How to Replace a Thermostat | Small Block Chevy | SBC | V8 283 327 350 383 | 1956 GMC
Hello everyone! In This video I will be replacing the thermostat on the 327ci small block chevy engine in my 1956 GMC pickup. I am replacing this because the current housing is leaking coolant. I also installed a new temperature gauge, and figured a new thermostat would give me a baseline on where I was regarding temperature. This is a 180 degree thermostat. The new housing I installed was a 45 degree angled unit I purchased from Summit. Here is the link: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ed... Gasket Sealer: https://www.autozone.com/sealants-glu...
