*Very Rare* Mitsubishi MU-2-60 OK-MOO departure from Gloucester airport on the 9/5/2022

quite cool little machine from Gloucester here a 1981 Mitsubshi MU-2-60 OK-MOO departing Stav last Thursday evening. This particular model there were 139 were made but, some models like 7. In total 704 we’re built but, because it first flew in 1963 and last one built in 1984 you can imagine there certainly many around anymore. They were a dangerous aircraft with 161 incident’s it had over 363 deaths most were attributed to pilot error because it was put in a class it shouldn’t of been in as it’s high performance but, low sale value meant a lot inexperienced pilots bought it and they didn’t appreciate its demanding flying characteristics. Its Similar to a jet in terms of performance. It’s is sensitive to trim settings, and it is critical to promptly trim the aircraft properly in all phases of flight. It also doesn’t have any ailerons unlike most aircraft. In 83 there were four incidents where an uncontrolled descent occurred. So a bit of a handful to fly to say the least….
