LIVE: EA WRC | SIMmark Rally - F2 Kit Car - Rally Japan SS1-6/12 | Onboard

Round 6 of the SIMmark Rally Championship takes us to the narrow and technical asphalt roads of Rally Japan in the F2 Kit Car class. After finishing P5 in Rally Latvia, I strengthened my position in the championship and entered this round still holding P5 overall. This first part of the event covers SS1-SS6, with six more stages still remaining. The run itself was mixed. The pace was there, but several technical issues made it difficult to maintain rhythm and concentration. During one stage, my wheel suddenly lost force feedback, leaving me with almost no useful information from the car. In another stage, I completely lost the game sound, which made judging speed, engine revs, and grip much harder. Those problems eventually affected my focus and led to an off-road moment. Thankfully, I managed to save the car and avoid any damage, but valuable time was still lost during the recovery. Despite the technical problems and the runoff, I survived the opening six stages and reached the end of the first loop. At the time of recording, I’m currently the only driver to have reached service park after SS6, which leaves me holding provisional P1 at this point. With the rest of the field still needing to complete their runs, it’s impossible to judge the real pace yet. Conclusion: A challenging first loop in Rally Japan, made much harder by force feedback and audio problems. The run was far from perfect, but the car survived without damage and I’m still in the fight.
