WOR-TV--JOE FRANKLIN SHOW AND SIGN-OFF NEWS, JULY 30, 31, 1975
On July 30 and July 31, 1975, I recorded audio of the end-of-the-day broadcasting over WOR-TV in New York. These portions include Channel 9's late-night news and weather read in radio format at 2 a.m. just before sign-off and the next night a portion of the "Joe Franklin Show," followed by a reading of news and weather just before sign-off after 2 a.m. This was back in the days when even the major New York City television stations signed off for the night. In WOR-TV's case, they directed their audience to now tune in its sister radio station WOR-AM for broadcasting through the night.
