For our stay, we chose Oakwood Resort, a beautiful property surrounded by nature with comfortable rooms, good food, and easy access to the safari gates. It was the perfect place to relax after long safari rides. During our trip, we completed 3 safari rides and were fortunate to spot a Royal Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bear, Indian Gaur (Bison), various species of Deer, Peacocks, and many beautiful birds. Our safari from the Pavani Gate buffer zone was disappointing. The guide and safari team did not seem very interested in tracking wildlife, and the overall effort to provide a good safari experience was lacking. Unfortunately, that ride felt like a waste of both time and money compared to our Core Zone safaris. ✅ Prefer Core Zone safaris for better wildlife sightings. ✅ Book early morning safaris as animal movement is usually higher. ✅ Summer season (March–June) offers some of the best tiger sighting opportunities. ✅ Book your safaris well in advance as permits get sold out quickly. 💰 Approximate Expenses • Pune to Tadoba Distance: ~850 km (one way) • Fuel & Tolls: ₹8,000–₹12,000 • Resort Stay (2 Nights): ₹8,000–₹15,000+ • Safari Charges: Vary by zone and season • Food & Miscellaneous: ₹2,000–₹5,000 📍 About Tadoba Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park, known for its healthy tiger population and rich biodiversity.
