Institution: NGU Type: Final Project Group Number: 08 Video Title: ESCAPE QUITBEY Selected Monument: Drama Type: AI ANIMATION Acting Roles: Idea: ESCAPE QAYTBAY is an AI-animated documentary short that takes viewers through the life, architecture, and legacy of Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaytbay and his Funerary Complex in Cairo’s Northern Cemetery (1472-1474), presented through the creative format of an escape room. The video is structured around four locked rooms, each revealing a layer of Qaytbay’s story — his origins as a Circassian slave sold for 50 dinars who rose to become the longest-reigning Mamluk sultan, the political crisis that drove him to build while his empire crumbled, the architectural marvels of his complex including the iconic carved stone dome, muqarnas portal, ablaq facade, and iwan plan, and finally his lasting influence on Islamic architecture from Cairo to Seville. All visuals were generated using Kling AI 3.0, combined with animated real photographs of the monument, and assembled in CapCut with original voiceover recorded by the team.
