We're taking you on the next part of our summer trip to Italy—from picturesque Limone sul Garda to touristy Sirmione, and then to the Mercure Nerocubo hotel in Rovereto. In the morning, we leave our hotel, La Fiorita – Limone, and in full sun, we set off in the Tesla along the western shore of Lake Garda, where there's no shortage of incredible views, but also road challenges. ☀️🏞️ The road to Sirmione leads through winding, narrow streets filled with scooters and motorcycles squeezing in literally everywhere. The Tesla Model Y's Autopilot proves to be of little use in such conditions—the route requires focus and vigilance. 🚗💨 We also share our thoughts on the lack of FSD and concerns about "phantom braking," which can be particularly dangerous on narrow Italian roads. Along the way, we stop for a shopping trip at the new Lidl in Italy, where we sample local delicacies – Italian hams, mature cheeses, and the classic tiramisu served ice cream. 🛒🧀🍨 We also assess the differences between Polish and Italian discount stores, where the selection is often much wider. Italy also surprises with features like anti-touch systems in bread and a huge selection of ready-made sandwiches and hot dishes. At the same time, we comment on the infrastructure for electric cars – the new Lidl, although modern, does not have a charger, and the entire region of Southern Garda appears to be very sparse in public charging stations. Fortunately, thanks to an earlier charge at the Best Western Hotel Adige, we arrive at our next overnight stay with plenty of room – the Mercure Nerocubo Rovereto, which has its own Tesla Supercharger. 🔌⚡ The biggest challenge of the day, however, turns out to be finding a parking space in Sirmione. For over an hour, we cruise around the city, trying to park on the headland, where time limits and a constant swarm of tourists apply. Frustration mounts, as every narrow street, corner, and traffic jam tests our nerves and patience.
