How Mr. Krabs turned a generation against Capitalism
This is a video essay about Spongebob Squarepants in which I discuss how the show has impacted its viewer's opinions on capitalism. I discuss how the concept of capitalism has become less popular among younger people, comparing real-world practices and trends to themes that happen in Spongebob Squarepants. I specifically refer to Mr. Krabs, and how the Krusty Krab is an allegory for real-world corporations, with Eugene's greed reflecting that of the world's richest capitalists.
