There’s no real upgrade in image quality, the new features are half-baked, and the price is pretty outrageous for what you get. After using DJI products for over 7 years, this is the first one that truly disappointed me. In this video, I break down why the Osmo Action 6 is not worth the upgrade — especially if you already own the Action 4, Action 5, or any decent action cam from the last few years. Key issues I cover: • The misleading open-gate marketing • Massive field-of-view crop in 1:1 mode • No real image quality improvement over the Action 5 • Still worse color than GoPro in daylight • Still capped at 4K • Overheating issues (even indoors) • Inaccurate depth sensor • Missing D-Log options in specific modes • 1:1 unavaliable in Photo mode • Potential “Action 6 Pro” upsell strategy? If you’re buying your first action camera, this might still work for you. But if you’re thinking upgrade, don’t. For the same price or less, GoPro, previous-gen DJI, or Insta360 offer better value and better performance.
