Come along as we explore the gorgeous Covigne River and Covigne Gorge in the Chaguaramas area of Trinidad! 🇹🇹 🇹🇹 The closest jungle swimming location to the shipyards and marinas visited by many yacht cruisers, the Covigne River area is natural space with monkeys, butterflies, crabs, fireflies and vibrant greenery. The hiking path starts near the Arboretum on a road that likely dates to when the United States military controlled the area, and continues up a dirt path that follows the river. Along the river are a few natural slot canyon gorges which have slowly been eroded into the rock over time, as well as water falls and a natural slide.
