Weeks, months, years, and decades passed, and the debate over which engine is better for tuning and everyday life never died down! Inline engines may be ancient in history, but V-engines, while younger, aren't that much. The thing is, the V-engine layout is becoming more and more common among manufacturers. It's more compact, more expensive to maintain, and these engines—I'm talking about the V6 now—can be installed either inline or cross-deck configurations, in both rear-wheel drive and front-wheel drive configurations.
