As the BBC never film this stage, i always try and do it, The last act on Sunday was legend English folk rock singer and songwriter Roy Harper (84) and his son Nick Harper singing "When An Old Cricketer Leaves The Crease" Roy Harper wrote and recorded this elegiac song for his ninth album HQ, released on the Harvest label in 1975, as a single in that year and again in 1978.A haunting song that uses cricket as a metaphor for death. The song was played as the final track of BBC radio host John Peel's show. Glastonbury’s Acoustic Stage.
