First Ride: 2016 Honda VFR1200X Crosstourer

My views and thoughts on a long first ride of a 2016 Honda VFR1200X Crosstourer. I ride it in urban areas, on the motorway and also try and have some fun on some twisties. Has a fantastic V4 engine with bags and bags of grunt and you soon realise that a twist of the throttle in any gear sends you forward like a scalded cat! The engine is so smooth you really don't realise quite how fast you're going at times. It's a supremely comfortable bike for mile munching but it is heavy at nearly 290kg. Having said that once on the move it belies it's weight and is remarkable agile through the corners all things considered. I give me detailed final verdict on the bike but in short, superbly capable, comfy and fast, just not that involving and so ultimately lacks the fun factor.
