Despite his many questions, Job was confident that God knew better than he did all the righteousness in his life. While waiting for answers, it's natural to feel confused and even anxious—an uncomfortable feeling. | GOD’S GREATNESS EXPOSES HUMAN LIMITATION Job waited a long time until God finally rebuked his friends (Job 38:1-3). This is because their words actually made Job's heart and faith waver, leading him to question things—even though he had lived a godly life. God not only speaks, but also gives revelation (Job 38:4-6). Humans cannot possibly have the capacity to answer all of God's questions. When we see God's work in the universe, are we still in awe of Him? | GOD'S SOVEREIGNITY BEYOND HUMAN WISDOM God continues to reveal His sovereignty (Job 40:1-5). We may understand the processes of many natural phenomena, but we cannot understand everything behind them because they are solely God's actions. God does not discuss Job's suffering, but rather tells us about His sovereignty. Meanwhile, David developed a relationship with God and understood His heart, allowing him to revere Him (Psalm 8:3-4). God answered Job's questions by revealing Himself. God is more than knowing and cannot forget our current needs. He cares for the entire universe, especially humanity. After God revealed Himself, Job no longer wondered; he simply saw and listened to how amazing God was. Understand that there are no accidents in God's plan! | GOD'S POWER IS ABOVE ALL CHAOS (Job 40:9-14) We will face times when we want to give up because we are beyond our capabilities, and we may become like Job, who didn't understand that his suffering wasn't from God. Job was limited in thinking that only God could give him suffering. We too may face problems beyond our control. However, God says that God can handle everything—nothing is insignificant before Him! God is far greater than any situation. God will handle all of life's problems in ways we never expected. God may not answer right away, but that doesn't mean He's out of control. God is preparing something beyond our understanding; problems and trials may come, but let God be everything in our lives!
