You get the "Mega Powers". Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage had incredible fan support in the old WWF, and the decision was made to bring these two huge favourites together to form a tag team, The Mega Powers. When Hulk Hogan saved Randy Savage from a 3 on 1 situation on Saturday Night's Main Event in 1987, the 2 men would become a force within the WWF that had fans cheering with approval. When Randy Savage won the WWF championship at WrestleMania IV, it turned out that the Macho Man was actually getting set up to go head to head with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania V. To get to their destination, the Mega Powers had a tough on-screen breakup that was built up over months and months. Fans tuned in to see how the story would play out and, ultimately, the Mega Powers would explode on Pay Per View, drawing big numbers in the process while generating further revenue for the World Wrestling Federation. This mini documentary from Wrestling Bios takes a look at The Mega Powers in the WWF.
