Never cut glass before and want to learn in two minutes? I'll show you how. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work perfectly the first time. I messed up a lot of glass panes myself at first. But you'll get the hang of it faster because I'll show you exactly how to do it so you don't make the same mistakes. To cut glass, you need a glass cutter. I use an inexpensive glass cutter from Silberschnitt, which costs €10. I've linked the glass cutter below in the video description. The question often comes up whether cutting oil is necessary. We always do it without, and it works. Take your glass pane and place it on a stable surface! This is extremely important, otherwise it will break later when you apply pressure with the glass cutter. Mark your cut. Then, place a straight guide rail. Position the glass cutter against this rail and align the cutting wheel correctly with your mark. Hold the glass cutter vertically so the cutting wheel can move smoothly. You can test this briefly beforehand, but don't apply any pressure yet. Now apply pressure and pull the glass cutter along the rail. Imagine trying to scratch metal with a key. This should create a continuous cut, and you can tell from the sound whether the cut is good or not. Now, place your glass plate with the cut precisely against a hard edge. Ideally, have a second person press the glass plate down onto the table. You then grip the other side as evenly as possible. Then, press it down firmly, evenly, and with a quick, firm motion. Only cut the groove. You need some force. I was too timid at first, that was one of my mistakes. If you're completely alone, you can clamp the workpiece in a workbench, for example, and then apply sharp pressure. If your cut wasn't clean or continuous, you'll end up with an uneven edge. We rescued a lamp that some joker had just thrown in the glass recycling bin. Two new panes of glass, and it's as good as new. Repair instead of throwing away. I wish you the best of luck trying it out. ... ============================= Follow me: ============================= Subscribe to the channel, thanks for your support:    / megatestberichte   ► Instagram:   / mega_testberichte   ► Website: www.mega-testberichte.de ============================== My Equipment ============================== Camera Equipment Reviews: https://www.mega-testberichte.de/kame... ► My Editing Software: https://amzn.to/3pWvQjf ► Camera 1: Lumix G81 with Kit Lens: https://amzn.to/3GKUIkF ► Camera 2: Lumix S5: https://amzn.to/3m9bodP ► Field Monitor 2, Lilliput A7s-2: https://amzn.to/2EgXalp ► Shure SM57 Microphone: https://amzn.to/3yv455l ► Microphone Arm: https://amzn.to/3IQtIlD ► Audio Interface 1, Behringer QX1002USB Xenyx: https://amzn.to/33BIT2d ► Audio Interface 2, Behringer UMC22: https://amzn.to/33yl8Ic Music: https://artlist.io/marco-3098682 https://www.mega-testberichte.de/genu... *Links to Amazon or other online shops are affiliate links.
