What to do with a spontaneous overtime break? Why not head to Denmark at short notice? No sooner said than done. For the first time, we're headed to Houvig at the northern end of the town of Søndervig, or rather, Ringkøbing Fjord. We've experienced everything from cold and sunshine to rain showers and gusts of wind this week here in our small holiday home. One of the highlights, no matter the season, is definitely the Houvig bunker complex from World War II. As part of the Atlantic Wall, several bunkers here can still be explored (more or less easily). But we were also fascinated by the Bagges Dam, the northernmost tip of Ringkøbing Fjord, which includes a nature and bird sanctuary: https://vesterhavet.de/bagges-daemning A beautiful spot, we think, especially in the off-season, of course. :) Enjoy watching and stay until the end of the video, because we'll show you some more aerial impressions.
