Abandoned Hunting Lodge - Why did they leave? - deep in the forest and miles from anywhere.

The forest swallows many lives. Ruins litter the dense undergrowth and hide the lives that once lived there. This house saw many lives and served many purposes from hunting lodge, to farm to home of a Colonel and as a tourists accommodation for fishing. After visiting I researched the building and together with what I found on site it seems it has been abandoned for 100 years and may have been visited by the military about 30 years ago on a training exercise!! It was incredibly hard to get to, which explains its lack of visitors!! I feel like wild camping at one of these ruins would be amazing.
