Here, the method for testing the HV diode, magnetron, and capacitor will be explained in a simple manner, showing only the replacement of the HV (High Voltage) diode. Remember to work with these devices in accordance with Electrical Safety Standards. 1- Work in a well-lit environment 2- Unplug the appliance 3- Wear insulated footwear 4- Wear safety glasses 5- Work on a non-metallic table 6- Use insulated tools 7- Discharge the capacitor It should be noted that a reused diode was installed, as the cost of a new one ($24 USD) does not justify the repair expense (December 2022). The possible damage to the diode was due to one of the diode's terminals being crimped incorrectly. Weak contacts generate heat in the components, and high voltages make them more susceptible to damage.
