१९ औं एसियाली खेलकुदमा रजत पदक जितेपछि कराते खेलाडी एरिका गुरुङ सर्वत्र चर्चामा आइन् । उनी एसियाडमा व्यक्तिगत रजत पदक जित्ने सविता राजभण्डारी (१९९८, तेक्वान्दो) पछि दोस्रो खेलाडी हुन् । मात्र १९ वर्षकी एरिकाको भविष्य उज्ज्वल छ । चीनबाट ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि हासिल गरेर फर्केको भोलिपल्ट हाम्रो टिमसँग बसेर एरिकाले आफ्नो सुरुवाती दिन तथा प्रतियोगिताको यात्राबारे कुराकानी गरेकी छिन् । Karateka Arika Gurung came into the limelight after winning Silver Medal in the 19th Asian Games 2022 held in Hangzhou, China. Gurung became the only second individual to win the silver medal in Asian Games for Nepal after Sabita Rajbhandari of Taekwondo in 1998. At just 19, Arika has bright future ahead of her. She sat down with our crew only a day after returning from China with her historic achievement and rolled back into those early days and tournament journey.
