Maurice Barraud (Swiss, 1889-1954) - He founded the "Falot" group with his brother François Barraud, Hans Berger, Emile Bressler, and Gustave Buchet Maurice Barraud, born February 20, 1889, in Geneva, and died November 11, 1954, in the same city, was a Swiss painter and illustrator. Maurice Barraud trained as a commercial artist and opened his own studio in 1909. During this period, he studied at the Geneva School of Fine Arts before devoting himself entirely to painting from 1913 onward. In 1914, following his first exhibition at the Moos Gallery, he founded the "Falot" group with his brother François Barraud, Hans Berger, Emile Bressler, and Gustave Buchet.
