A Simple Video on How to Change Your Oil | Celica Basics Part 1

Hey again YouTube, been quick a few weeks since my last video! I had the Celica jacked up and decided it was time to do an oil change. I've taken a small break from YouTube but am trying to get some videos out, so I made this simple one explaining the very basics of an oil change. While it may seem rudimentary, most celica owners are 1st time car buyers, changing your own oil gives you a sense of pride as well as gets you a little more in tune with your car. It's very simple to do yourself, and if you buy your oil in bulk like me, a full synthetic change takes less than 20 minutes and only costs about $20. Way cheaper than taking it to a shop to get done, and it doesn't take all day. Steps: Remove front end using 10mm socket. Jack up the car and place jackstands under the car. Remove the under shielding plastics if you have them. Open Oil Fill Cap. Remove 14mm drain plug. Let oil drain. Reinstall Drain Plug. Remove Oil Filter. Reinstall new filter with bead of oil placed on gasket. Fill with 5W-30 Oil, 1zz and 2zz are just below 5qts. Tighten Filler cap. Run car and check for any leaks. Start driving again! Tools Needed: 10mm 14mm Oil Filter Wrench if needed. 5W-30 Oil. Oil Filter - OEM or K&N are best.
