May This Demo Of Kingdom Hearts 3 Be Your Guiding Key // DEMO DAYS

Ever since the Switch 2 came out, I figured the natural course would be to have those awful "cloud versions" of games get "upgraded" in some way to actual, for-real ports of those same games. Hitman World of Assassination is a good example, the Cloud Version for Switch 1 has now been "replaced" with a Signature Edition for Switch 2. Considering how action-heavy the KH games are, finally getting them off of The Cloud would be a no brainer, and during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct we got that confirmation that 1.5 + 2.5, 2.8, and 3 + Re Mind would all be getting actual ports to the Switch 2, with 3 + ReMind getting a demo that day. Being the huge dork I am, and someone who has a Let's Play series about playing the KH series, I immediately downloaded the demo. It's completely serviceable! I think it plays a touch slower, a lot of the movement doesn't feel quite right and the framerate gets kinda choppy, but it's adequate. It also has basically 2 hours of content in the demo, which is much more than previous demos I've been playing currently. And, of course, you can transfer your save from the Demo to the full game when it comes out in October. The next test will be to see if the other games play well. I don't think there's any reason to think that any of the other games across those two other collections wouldn't work, but ya never know!
