Badam Mysurpa Ingredients: Chickpea flour /besan/kadalaimaavu-1 cup Almond -1/2 cup Sugar-2 cups Ghee-2 cups Oil-1/2 cup Saffron 1 pinch Yellow color a pinch optional Water 1/2 cup Milk powder 1 tablespoon Method : Flame should very minimum for this dish. Soak badam in hot water for 45 mins , peel the skin. Add milk power and 1 tablespoon water to badam and make to a smooth paste. Add 2/3 cup of ghee to besan and make to a batter . Add badam paste to a heavy bottom pan and add 1/2 water and 2 cups sugar and bring to boil. Once it reaches one string consistency add the besan mix and stir well. You must keep stirring. Add 1/4 cup oil now and keep stirring , add the ghee and 1/4 cup oil and keep stirring Once foamy consistency add reaches reaches it will take around 20 mins . Off the flame and keep stirring. Add to a pan or tray. And leave it cool down for around 1 hr. Demould it and slice it. This is a very rich and traditional dish .
