China Tour Part 3 - Yangtze River Cruise September 2024

Part 3 of our 'Wonders of China' Tour, in September 2024, took us to Yichang, after a flight from Xian, where we boarded our river cruise ship which would be out home for the next 4 nights. The boat was moored just upstream of the Three Gorges Dam Project that turned a narrow, shallow, very fast-flowing river into a 600km long reservoir. After a tour of the project, we sailed overnight and took a mini-cruise on the picturesque Shennong Stream (with hanging coffin). Then we set off through the Wu and Qutang Gorges, stopping off along the way for a tour of the White Emperor City, and Xiaoguanshan the following morning. Our final stop of the cruise was the massive city of Chongqing. Photos and video were taken with my Sony DSC-HX99 compact zoom camera. The images were edited using Affinity Photo and the video was created using Wondershare Filmora 14.
