Ikebana: Muflier et Véronique (Rikka Shōfūtai)
To celebrate the thirty floral arrangements made for Ikebana Flowers, what could be better than a rikka! With all the stress of a first filmed rikka, with the assurance of losing one's means and making beginner's mistakes, a new era begins here! Ikebana is one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement. The Ikenobō school is the first official school of Ikebana, with over 550 years of written history. There are schools of Japanese floral art throughout the world. One can say the Rikka floral arrangement made the Ikenobō school famous. Its well-deserved reputation went as far as the Rikka term becoming synonymous to Ikebana at the end of the 15th century. Over the years, the Rikka got codified until it became the modern version: a floral arrangement with nine main elements (yakueda) and some optional helpers (ashirai). Artist: Michel Donais, assistant teacher of Ikebana, 1st level (11th certificate), Ikenobō school. 00:00 Introduction 00:15 Preparation 01:19 Shoshin: Liatris spicata « Praire feather » 02:13 Shin: Antirrhinum majus « Snapdragon » 05:20 Uke: Antirrhinum majus « Snapdragon » 08:29 Shin Ashirai: Antirrhinum majus « Snapdragon » 11:09 Soe: Chrysanthemum 13:21 Nagashi: Veronica spicata « Spiked speedwell » 15:30 Hikae: Antirrhinum majus « Snapdragon » 18:27 Mikoshi: Veronica spicata « Spiked speedwell » 18:55 Do: Hydrangea 19:56 Maeoki: Ruscus Aculeatus « Butcher’s broom » 23:28 Douchi: Cordyline Fruticosa 24:07 Soeshita: Veronica spicata « Spiked speedwell » 26:12 Ushirogakoi: Cocculus laurifolius « Laurel-leaved snail tree » 27:06 Indome: Gypsophila 28:44 Yodome: Astrantia « Masterwort » 29:49 Last steps… 31:32 Reveal 32:39 Corrected version #ikebana #ikenobo #rikka #rikkashofutai #生け花 #池坊 #立花 #立花正風体 #antirrhinum #veronica #flowers #flower #flowerarrangement #traditional #traditionalart #floralart #japaneseflowerarrangement #cutflowers #fleurs #fleur #bouquet #relaxation #arrangementfloral #traditionnel #art #arttraditionnel #artfloral #fleurscoupees #asmr #longformcontent
