Day 13: Cyclists FEAR Number 13. Here's What We Did About It

How superstitious is the peloton? Never take the salt from someone's hand. Watch out for black cats crossing left to right. And never speak about crashes before a stage. On Stage 12 of the Tour de France we asked our riders and staff about pro cycling's biggest superstitions. On the road, it was almost the last chance for the sprinters: three category four climbs, a strong breakaway and late drama in the finale. Our boys stayed safe in the GC battle, now the focus shifts to the mountains. And because this is Red Bull BORA-hansgrohe's 13th Tour de France, we're doing what every rider does with an unlucky race number: turning it upside down. Overnight, our team cars got a full upside down wrap for Stage 13, ready to flip our luck. 🚙🔄 #TDF2026 #RedBullBORAhansgrohe Chapters: 0:00 It's upside down 0:17 Cycling's classic superstitions 0:56 The salt rule 1:17 Riders on their superstitions 2:05 Never won with number 13 2:29 Black cats & crash talk 3:00 Stage 12 preview 4:09 Last chance for the sprinters 5:23 Stage 12 debrief 5:58 Wrapping the cars for Stage 13 Live Race Footage (c) ASO Inside Car Footage (c) Velon ----- Discover the world of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe.
