A Minha História do Teatro | Luigi Pirandello

This episode of the series "My History of Theatre" is dedicated to the Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello. The series is presented by director and writer Jorge Silva Melo, with the participation of the artistic society/theatre company Artistas Unidos and the Universidade Aberta. In this project, Jorge Silva Melo presents, in general terms and with concrete examples of the art of acting, the works of some of the main playwrights from the 18th century to the present day: Goldoni, Ibsen, Chekhov, Pirandello, Brecht, Pinter, Tennessee Williams, Miller, and other contemporary playwrights. The narration is by the author himself, who provided his archive of photographs and selected texts interpreted by an excellent group of actors such as Catarina Wallenstein, Lia Gama, Maria João Luís, Ruben Gomes, Américo Silva, Marco Silva, among others. Nuno Rodrigues from the company Artistas Unidos directed the selection of images, while Hélder Matta e Silva and Rodolfo Fernandes, from UAb, were responsible for editing and sound design, respectively.
