Milwaukee 2646-20 M18 Grease Gun teardown/repair

Good morning everyone. After owning it for over 3 years, the high-speed gear on our Milwaukee 2646-20 M18 grease gun died on us. While the low speed gear is still fine, when you have a large track cylinder to fill or you're going through the 25 or so grease points on a road grader or telehandler, you really start to miss that faster gear range - especially in the winter. So, I broke down and ordered a replacement gearbox and grease piston from an OEM parts supplier. Somebody else might have chucked this thing in the trash, but for less than half the cost of a new grease gun, buying the parts and fixing it myself was a much cheaper (and far more satisfying) option.
