The new Riviera 72 Sports Motor Yacht Series II made it's world premiere at the 2025 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, and We Love Boating was there to cover the launch with an in depth yacht tour. First launched in 2018, Riviera’s 72 Sports Motor Yacht answered the demand for a luxurious, long-range motor yacht that excelled in all water sports. Now a new generation of this flagship Sports Motor Yacht has arrived. Feedback from our worldwide family of SMY owners has helped influence our team of designers and engineers to a whole-of-craft refinement approach. In essence, the 72 Series II is even more functional, more luxurious and more enjoyable with an aesthetic that is both contemporary and timeless; delivering the same exhilarating sports performance and blue water capability that positioned the Riviera Sports Motor Yacht in a league of its own. The example we toured, had 4 staterooms plus a crew cabin, which can be specified as a utility room if the owner prefers. Improvements have been made in several areas of the Series II, including changes to the foredeck seating/tender area, changes to the main deck hard top, and changes to the hull construction to improve performance.
