Understanding Remote Sensing & Geography w/ Dr. Narcisa Pricope

We explore Remote Sensing and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) in Environmental Science for things like Land Degredation. Narcisa Pricope, PHD is a professor of Geography and Geospatial EARTH Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is the director of the Geospatial Intelligence Certificate Program, the Coastal UAS Observatory, and is currently supporting the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) as a Science Policy advisor. During this episode we explored Dr. Pricope's background in education and research, working with image data by manipulating light, NASA's new Landsat Satellite, students in geography today, working with AI tools, and the future of geospatial and remote sensing science.
