Canadian immigration officers investigating hundreds identified by extortion task force
New numbers released to Global News show the epidemic of extortion plaguing British Columbia’s South Asian community has quickly become an even bigger crisis. In fact, Canada Border Services Agency officials say the number of foreign nationals being investigated in Canada has almost tripled – currently sitting at a whopping 296. And as a result of the ongoing investigations, 32 people have been issued a removal order, with another 10 already deported. Aaron McArthur reports.
