Red Spike Amaranth Highlight Video! Harvesting Amaranth and Annuals for a Bouquet. //FlowerFanatic
I have had great success with the Red Spike Amaranth this year. Since this was my first year growing it, I wasn't sure what to expect. The plumes took their time to emerge, but now that they are out...they are going crazy. There are so many plumes to cut! I would definitely grow this Variety of Amaranth in your own garden if you want something that doesn't require a lot of love, takes up ALOT of space, and add fullness to your Vaces. It pairs really well with my Cherry Caramel Phlox, and Orange Dahlias. They have a long vace life (7-10 Days) and the dark color is hard to beat. I'm so glad I found an annual that likes my hot, dry, imperfect soil in my very first cutting garden! It makes me feel like a professional and I know it will make you feel that way too haha.
