DANILO BRITO e Orquestra - RETRATOS NAZARETH

“Retratos”, a suite composed by Radamés Gnattali between 1956 and 1958 for mandolin and string orchestra, dedicated to Jacob do Bandolim. Recorded by the famous mandolin player in 1964, conducted by Radamés himself. The author portrayed and honored four great Brazilian composers, the 1st movement dedicated to Pixinguinha, the 2nd to Ernesto Nazareth, the 3rd Anacleto de Medeiros and the 4th Chiquinha Gonzaga. Here I present the 2nd movement with my group (Danilo Brito Quinteto) and Orquestra de Câmara de Pernambuco, conducted by José Renato Accioly, on the 88th anniversary of the Pernambuco Conservatory of Music. Concert held at Teatro de Santa Izabel, Recife.
