We had a great time with this review, and we hope you get a chance to try one out for yourself. Here are some of our observations: 1. The wheel is lightweight and powerful enough to throw a couple of pounds of clay. 2. The splash pan is easy to attach and take off, and is much better than the splash pan for the other Vevor wheels we have used. 3. Although the foot pedal is plastic, it is sturdy. Though the sensitivity takes some getting used to, it functioned perfectly and new users will have no trouble acclimating to it. 4. The touch controls are good, but they will get muddy with use! Everything seems to be sealed well, however. 5. It would be nice to be able to slow the wheel down slower than 50 RPM, but that is still slow enough for anyone who isn’t throwing huge amounts of clay. 6. The wheel head is aluminum, and it has a grooved texture that holds clay well without being too rough on the hands. This wheel is a GREAT first pottery wheel! Although it’s not as powerful as a more expensive wheel, it should provide plenty of power for most beginners. If you’re looking for a smaller, more portable potters wheel, this one might be the perfect tool.
