Kenwood, or Kenwouldn't? A perplexing lack of audio from the DP-1000
A viewer called Branden sent me a pair of Kenwood CD players; a DP-1000 and a DP-840. Neither were reading discs, but he only cared about the DP-1000 and told me that I could keep the DP-840 if I could get it working. I expected to revive both with some careful adjustment, but things didn't quite go to plan - resulting in a lot of head scratching and frustration as the DP-1000 refused to sing...
