The Last Days of Oita Hover Ferry, Drifting Hover Craft
Oita Hover Ferry was the only passenger ferry service using hover craft in Japan. It had been connecting between Oita city center and Oita airport. Because of the Lehman shock recession and soaring fuel costs, the service discontinued in 2009. Since there was some sharp S curves near Oita airport, we could enjoy aggressively drifting hover ferries.
