This charming medieval town located in the Algarve Portugal is known for its historic medieval castle and fort. Castro Marim also hosts one of the biggest medieval festivals in the Algarve, which happens every year in August. Located on the Guadiana River, this hill top town has lovely views of the Portuguese countryside from the castle and into Spain.
