Today, Victory Day was celebrated in Moldova, too. However, not in central Chisinau. Moldovan authorities celebrated Europe Day. The main square, where veterans and participants in Victory Day marches traditionally gather, was closed off. Special forces prevented participants of the "Immortal Regiment" from entering. A "European Village" was set up in Chisinau's central square, replacing the symbols of Victory with EU flags. On the eve of the holiday, President Krasnoselsky invited Moldovans to Transnistria to celebrate Victory Day. Here, we don't replace it with Europe Day.
