Repairing and Upgrading My Lathe Cross Slide | Part 1 - Workholding Tools

In this video I set out to make some work clamps to enable me to securely hold the cross slide of my Sealey SM2503 lathe to my SX2 mill. The cross slide has developed a high spot where the original tool post is clamped. Not a particularly good design.. so i aim to fix and upgrade this area. More details of which will follow in Part 2. As you can see, my goto vise is way too small. So after a bit of research I came up with a plan! Big thanks to Harold Hall in the Model Engineers' Workshop Projects issue 39 for the great select of low profile clamp designs.
