All this is completely free of charge but if you would like to give me a small donation you can do so on the same page. https://www.daddylongles.com/tech Ok - here we go! In this video I start to show you round the huge array of buttons, knobs and encoders. The Starship Enterprise has nothing on this thing!!🤓 At around 2:09 I talk about why you would buy the XL when, like me, you already have the LIVE III. Although I talk about all the great things that the LIVE III has which the XL doesn't, I don't really make a case for the XL. However, I think by the time I've gone through all the controls that the XL has to offer, you'll be very impressed. Having all those extra buttons/knobs means you can really fly around your project without a load of menu-diving. On top of that, you have the larger screen, the extra inputs, two headphone sockets etc. etc. The question you have to ask yourself must be "Is it worth another £1,100 over and above the XL?" 00:00 - Start 01:19 - Dimensions & Weight 02:10 - XL vs. LIVE III? 02:36 - The Channel Command 03:06 - TRACKS button 03:23 - Other CHANNEL COMMAND buttons 03:49 - TRACKS button again! 04:18 - OUTPUTS button 04:31 - CHANNEL COMMAND ENCODER 05:10 - RETURNS button 05:26 - TRACKS button with TRACK-/+ buttons 05:58 - CUE LINKS button 06:21 - RECORD ARM button 06:36 - TRACK FX button 07:32 - MUTE & SOLO buttons 08:48 - Knobs to adjust the input gain of inputs 1 & 2 09:12 - Knob to adjust the input gain of inputs 3 & 4 09:28 - Switches for front/rear inputs & phantom power 10:18 - Stereo/Mono switch 10:53 - DIR/MAIN knob 11:19 - MAIN volume knob 11:33 - USB select button 12:04 - Level Meters PRE/POST button 12:41 - The Touch Screen 12:54 - The 16 Q-LINK Encoders/Display Screens 13:39 - The 16 Step/Function Buttons 14:20 - The 16 MPCe Pads 14:37 - The Data Dial Controversy
