Hiking through Japan, part 1, Shiretoko

We begin our journey in one of the most remote and untouched regions of Japan: Shiretoko National Park. A place where mountains fall straight into the sea, and wildlife is roaming everywhere. From here, we take our first steps on our thru-hiking journey across Japan, from north to south. Over 4000 km on foot, carrying everything we need in our backpacks.
