Speech by Sheikh Al-Habib after the completion of the flag-raising ceremony of the Servants of the Mahdi (peace be upon him) - 9 Rabi' al-Awwal 1445 AH / 2023 CE The Servants of the Mahdi Union (peace be upon him) held a ceremony to raise its blue flag again on the land of Fadak al-Sughra, on the occasion of the ninth day of Rabi' al-Awwal, which, according to the noble narrations from the family of Muhammad (peace be upon them), is the day of removing black mourning. His Eminence Sheikh Al-Habib attended the flag-raising ceremony of the Servants of the Mahdi Union (peace be upon him), accompanied by His Eminence Sheikh Abbas Aghaei and a group of believers. In an atmosphere filled with joy and eagerness to bring happiness to the heart of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, the land of Fadak al-Sughra was once again prepared to host the events commemorating the demise of the enemy of God, Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God curse him). His Eminence Sheikh Al-Habib delivered a brief speech to the Thursday police, stating that to achieve accomplishments and projects, it is necessary to break many prohibitions that others consider to be so, but which are not prohibitions in the law of Heaven. His Eminence cited the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) words to Abu Dharr (may God be pleased with him): "O Abu Dharr, you will not attain the true essence of faith until you see all people as foolish in their religion but wise in their worldly affairs." His Eminence then mentioned Abu Lu'lu'a al-Nahawandi (may God be pleased with him), who received great success, as narrated by the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in his words to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God curse him). Abu Lu'lu'a attained this success and honor because he broke a taboo by exacting retribution from the second tyrant (may God curse him). He added that we must think in this way about breaking taboos, as long as they have no basis in religion, morality, chivalry, or reason. Among these taboos that must be broken is the existence of anything that glorifies murderers, tyrants, and criminals, especially those who oppressed the pure Imams (peace be upon them), such as the idols erected in Iraq—for example—like al-Dawaniqi (may God curse him). It was hoped that His Eminence the Sheikh would announce to the faithful the approaching establishment of the nation on this auspicious day, but the matter has not yet been finalized. He indicated that the obstacle to these negotiations is the issue of financial shortfall, as the required amount has doubled due to competing parties. His Eminence appealed to those who are financially able to lend a helping hand to advance this exceptional project.
