ES MUSS WAS AUF DEN TISCH. (Kurzdoku über Alleinerziehende)
A short documentary about single parents cooking and the unseen work that goes on after work. For parents, the work doesn't end when the workday is over—especially not for single parents. This is an attempt to make the hidden effort behind closed doors visible. Cooking is just one example. — DISCLAIMER FOR 04:38-04:45: All interviewees explicitly referred to the amount of child benefit (€259 since 2026) and NOT to the amount of their income. Katja, Melanie, and Sebastian are financially well-off enough to provide for their children more than adequately, and they do. Their statements simply illustrate that more government support would make this work easier. — Thank you to everyone who feels like they have too few hands for too many tasks, and yet keeps going. Thank you to Katja, Melanie, and Sebastian for your trust. Thank you to my dad for his help, whether with this project or always. Disclaimer for my dad. - A short documentary by: Julia Brenner – Production, Camera, Lighting, Post-production Clara Brumberger – Camera, Sound Lisa Pöpel – Camera, Sound Track: Rainbow Road - Jeremy Korpas (via YouTube Audio Library)
