Dan Roodt - The Impossible Dream?
In this episode, I sit down with Dan Roodt—author, activist, political commentator, and the founder of PRAAG, the Pro-Afrikaans Action Group, established in 2000. My motivation for this interview is to continue my exploration of contemporary South Africa and the Afrikaner identity. I’m on a quest to understand who truly represents the majority Afrikaner sentiment today—especially in politics—and to uncover how some Afrikaners envision their future, whether that’s through greater self-governance or a homeland of their own. And before we dive into the conversation, I really want to invite you, especially Afrikaners in South Africa, to share your views. What does self-rule mean to you? Are you committed to the ideal of an independent homeland for the Afrikaner? I’d love to hear your hopes and your perspectives, so please drop a comment in the box below and let’s keep this important dialogue going. You can follow Dan here: / @praagtv
