You can push film for a look or effect you want in your photos. Or you can push film if you need more light to get a proper exposure. Technically, when you push film, you are underexposing the film by a stop (1 stop in this instance) and then compensating for that underexposure through your processing of the film. In this video, Braedon shoots 3 rolls of Kodak Tri-X 400 film. The first roll, he shoots it at box speed, meaning he rates the film at 400 ISO. The next roll, he Rates the film at 800, pushing it 1 stop. The 3rd roll, the film is rated at 1600 and is pushed 2 stops. This video is to show you the results so you can see the different looks.
