Medical Evacuation of Carnival Dream Crew Member, June 20, 2013 Severe Burn Victim
While returning from our cruise to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and the Bahamas, a crew member was severely burned and in need of immediate medical care. The captain of our ship made the decision to change our course and head to Puerto Rico to rendezvous with a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter for a medical evacuation. We were able to see our very professional Coast Guard in action as they performed the evacuation from the pitching ship in the Atlantic Ocean. Please pray for the injured man and his family as he goes through the painful and dangerous recovery from his burns.
